We are excited to announce our new Director of Religious Education, coordinating the Parish School of Religion for grades K through 8, Holly Johnston! She succeeds Mrs. Lys Schaeffer, to whom we owe many thanks for faithfully serving in this role for many years.
Holly was born in California, raised in New Jersey, and moved to the DC area after finishing her B.A.’s in Political Science and Religious Studies at Susquehanna University. She now works at a law firm in downtown Washington, DC, and has enjoyed getting more involved at St. Ann.
Holly has been a parishioner for 4 years, and began volunteering with the youth group about 2 years ago. This past year, she helped mentor PSR students receiving their sacraments. Holly was excited to educate and help kids grow closer to Christ, and she is delighted to be given the opportunity to continue this important work!
In her spare time, she also enjoys volunteering with nearby charity Ronald McDonald House, running, and traveling.
Please pray for her as she takes on this new volunteer role at our parish!
