The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception celebrates the belief in the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary, when Mary was conceived in the womb of her mother Ann, the patroness of our parish.
It is universally celebrated on December 8, nine months before the feast of the Nativity (birth) of Mary, which is celebrated on September 8.
Masses are at 7:30am, 12:00pm (livestreamed), 7:00pm. Due to Mass dispensation in the Archdiocese of Washington for health reasons, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception is not a Holy Day of Obligation in 2020.
