Breakthrough Movie is based on the impossible true story - a miracle - that happened in 2015 in St. Louis, Missouri:
Fourteen-year-old John Smith lost his life after falling through an icy lake and being underwater for more than 15 minutes.
As John lay lifeless in a hospital bed, his mother Joyce prayed to the Holy Spirit. And then suddenly John had a pulse.
Counting the hours, as John lay in an induced coma, Joyce never lost hope that her son would live and thrive. Her hope inspires the entire St. Louis community to pray for John's recovery, and in specific ways - that his lungs would not flood, that his brain would remain functional. No one in John's situation had ever survived in medical history.
