Parishioner Sal Selvaggio has had an interest in the Shroud for many years, and will present a compilation of information, including known facts and speculations on its authenticity.The Shroud of Turin is perhaps the most studied and argued over ancient artifact that is, or has ever been, in existence.
In 1978, a team of elite scientists from the Jet Propulsion Lab, Los Alamos, and other institutions made the first true examination of the Shroud, which yielded extraordinary results.Since then, other testing has given us more clues to its origin.
This hour-long presentation will feature close up images of the Shroud, historical and scriptural references, and will be followed by a question and answer segment.
