Sign up for Sunday Masses is suspended at this time
November 27, 2020
My dear Parishioners and Friends,
In light of the recent Supreme Court ruling which determined that an increase in restrictions for the number of worshipers in a church runs contrary to their First Amendment Rights, we have decided at this time to refrain from our initial instruction that parishioners would be required to sign up online for weekend Masses at St. Ann’s Church. This being said, we will continue the present practice of allowing no more than 100 persons in the church for Mass.
However, because of the anticipated larger numbers of persons desiring to attend Mass on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we are informing you and will continue to remind you that sign-up for Christmas Eve Masses (2:00pm, 5:00pm, 8:00pm) and Christmas Day Masses (7:30am & 11:00am) will be required in order that we do not exceed the 100-person capacity restriction and avoid having to turn away persons at the doors. That sign-up will be live in coming weeks. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Sincerely yours,
Rev. Msgr. James D. Watkins

Public health and safety precautions remain in effect.
General Guidelines:
1) The only entrance for all weekend Masses will be the Yuma Street side door in order to control the number of people entering the church, which cannot exceed 100 persons at this time. The handicapped ramp is open for use for those who need it, as well.
When that capacity is reached, additional persons will be instructed to attend another Mass. We apologize in advance; we cannot exceed 100 persons at this time.
2) Bring your own hand sanitizer to use upon entry.
3) Wear a face mask at all times while inside the church.
4) Sit in the designated pews (3 persons per pew). Family units may sit together.
5) Maintain 6 feet of distance from others in the pews. (Family units may cluster.)
6) Only the priest distributes Holy Eucharist.
7) Maintain a 6-foot distance from others in line.
8) It is strongly recommended to receive Holy Communion by hand. Steps are: Receive the Host by hand, step 6 feet to the side, remove your mask, communicate the Host, replace your mask, and return by way of the side aisle to your pew.
9) Please depart the church immediately following Mass so that volunteers can sanitize the church in preparation for the next Mass.
10) Please refrain as much as possible from touching pew surfaces. If possible, pre-wipe and post-wipe the area where you were sitting as an extra precaution.
11) Refrain from gathering in groups after Mass in order to allow all parishioners to smoothly exit the church. The other church doors may be used for exiting.
12) Congregational singing has been suspended, and all Hymnals and Missalettes have been removed from the pews in accord with proper health guidelines. Mass readings are published at usccb.org. You may use an electronic device to access them during Mass.
13) Please refrain from using the church bathrooms as much as possible, so that we can minimize the necessity of cleaning them after each use.
The Pastor will review these guidelines at each of the Masses during the coming weekend Masses, as we all adjust to this new experience at St. Ann's.
Thank you for your patience, cooperation and kindness during these challenging times!
In order to make this happen, WE WILL NEED YOUR HELP!
VOLUNTEER NOW, SO WE CAN CONTINUE TO OFFER PUBLIC MASS OBSERVING ALL HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES!
