Are you looking for a meaningful way to live out your faith? If you like to work with children and their families, St. Ann DC has a perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for self-motivated, enthusiastic volunteers to be teachers and aides for our Parish School of Religion for grades K through 8 for Academic Year 2022-2023.

Congratulations to our 22 - 2022 - First Communicants! That has a great ring to it!

We need more children for our Christmas Eve Pageant at the 5:00pm Mass on Friday, December 24! A required rehearsal will take place at 3:30pm on Thursday, December 23 in the Church.Contact Patty Sucato at [email protected].

Last week, St. Ann was happy to send two faithful teens in our Youth Program, Ronan and Fred, to join 25+ teens from throughout the Washington Archdiocese attending Leaders Inspired To Evangelize (LITE). They had a great time and grew in their Catholic faith!

On May 9, 2021, Aaron Stettler and John Poodts were ordained to the diaconate at St. Ann Catholic Church in Washington DC. Deacon Aaron shares a testimony of his ordination and an update on where he is now:

We are looking for self-motivated, enthusiastic teachers to educate students in 2nd grade, or 3rd and 4th grade, and, in 2023, 7th and 8th grade in our Parish School of Religion.

The Saint John Society (SJS) joyfully announces the ordination to the diaconate of Aaron Stettler and John Poodts, through the laying on of hands and the prayers of ordination by the Most Reverend Mario E. Dorsonville, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Washington. The ordination took place on Sunday, May 9 at 4:00pm at St. Ann.

On May 9, these 10 children celebrated their First Holy Eucharist - congratulations! Please pray for them by name.

We are excited to announce our new Director of Religious Education, coordinating the Parish School of Religion for grades K through 8, Holly Johnston! She succeeds Mrs. Lys Schaeffer, who we owe many thanks for faithfully serving in this role for many years.

Perhaps the most challenging aspect of raising children is fostering their faith maturing process. This presentation explored various dimensions of faith development and included practical approaches to enhancing and strengthening faith in young people, fostering their faith identity, and examining our role as parents in this process.

On Sunday, December 15, Dr. Bob McCarty - author and professional speaker - gave a presentation to St. Ann parishioners and parents on "Keeping Kids Catholic 101." We are so grateful to him! Click here to see his PowerPoint.

On Sunday, November 10, we hosted a presentation on How Can My Family Be More Involved in the Church? Thank you to all who attended, spoke, and those who have already responded with feedback or by getting involved!
